Imagine having a lot of important files on your computer and constantly creating new ones. It's important to have all these files copied to a safe place and to keep a backup of all of them, so that in case disaster strikes and a virus or a hard disk malfunction corrupts your data, you will be able to recover them. It's highly inconvenient to copy all your files to a backup location every time you create a new file. That's why it's a good idea to install the QuickShadow application.

This simple Windows program allows you to back up all your files and folders to a safe location on the hard disk or USB memory device and to monitor your working folder for changes, so that in case you create a new document, it will be automatically copied to the backup location.

After installing and launching the application, the user will be presented with a simple and intuitive interface which allows the user to easily configure the program's settings. First of all, one should define the source location for the files and the destination location. The destination can be either a local partition, network drive or USB memory stick. After configuring these settings, the user should move on to configure other backup options, like an exclusion list, copying or moving hidden files or automatically backing up files at certain time intervals.

After configuring all these options, the sync process can begin by a push of a button. Besides syncing files, the user can also monitor the file folder for changes and can have the program automatically copy any new file to the backup location.
